EXP’s Fuel Your Future Boot Camp: August 23-25

EXP’s Fuel Your Future is back on August 23-25, and closing with a networking culmination event on August 26! This virtual boot camp is FREE and open to ITEP/EXP alumni AND any young adults 18-24—so tell your friends!

Fuel Your Future is a high-impact series of professional skills workshops in collaboration with Loyola Marymount University (LMU). For just two hours each day from 5-7 p.m. PST via Zoom, you can learn new skills to help you succeed in college, career, and life.

  • Tuesday, August 23: Project Management Skills with Ingrid Greene, MBA, MA, Adjunct Professor, LMU.

  • Wednesday, August 24: Intercultural Communication and Global Competency for Career Success with Dr. Marki Jones, Program Management Director, LMU Center for International Business Education.

  • Thursday, August 25: Public Speaking and Presentation Skills with Dr. James C. Bunker, Clinical Associate Professor of Communication Studies, LMU.

  • Friday, August 26: Expand your network by connecting with other EXP alumni and industry professionals at an in-person networking event. Location TBA.

Friday, September 30: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.: GPS Your Future®

The 12th annual GPS Your Future® career discovery event is back in-person on Friday, September 30, at CSU Dominguez Hills! We have many volunteer opportunities for our alumni between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on event day or even the day before the event!

  • Thursday, September 29: Event preparation and expo hall setup.

  • Friday, September 30:

    • Interact with students at the EXP booth

    • Monitor breakout sessions

    • Escort students to their activities

Saturday, August 27, 11 a.m.: Banning Museum “Get to Know Us” Volunteer Orientation

Do you love history? Have some time on your hands? Now is the perfect time to consider volunteering at the Banning Museum. The museum in desperate need of folks, like you, who care about local history and would enjoy sharing the remarkable stories of Phineas Banning. EXPand Your Horizon

August 26, 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. PST via Zoom: Career Inspiration for this Generation: Energizing Students for Career Center and Employer Engagement

This free virtual event is intended to prepare college students for the internship and job recruiting process and how to best leverage interactions with employers and college career center resources. Students will also receive tips from a panel of confirmed corporate recruiters; Disney, Electronic Arts, Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), KPMG, and Walmart. Register now!

More than 20 people participated in the EXP Day of Service on Saturday, July 30. What a beautiful day it was to give back to the community and connect with other alumni, industry volunteers, and many EXP friends!
