Produced by EXP, the annual GPS Your Future® career discovery event showcases high-growth industries and introduces career paths to high school students. In 2024, 400 high school students from 13 of EXP-supported high schools engaged with more than 100 industry volunteers and 29 exhibitors at the 14th annual event.

First, our students participated in the entrepreneurial incubator activity, led by the talented students from CSU Dominguez Hills Innovation Incubator, and experienced firsthand how to innovate and market a product with the help of AI. During “Lunch with a Professional,” students got the opportunity to network and hear directly from industry volunteers at their tables. And finally, students’ favorite career discovery activity, the career discovery expo! Moved out to the North Lawn from the ballroom, students ventured from tent to tent to learn more about each company and industry. Read more about the event in CSUDH News.

Keynote Speaker: Matt Barnes, founder and CEO of Rogue United,

For over a decade, Matt has been a catalyst for creativity, storytelling, and community-driven impact in Orange County. With a background in teaching, consulting, and nonprofit leadership, Matt has worked with organizations like Vanguard University, Rockharbor Church, LOT318, and Biola University, shaping their strategic growth and helping them tell their stories more effectively.

Based in Newport Beach, Rogue United includes ventures such as Rogue Collective, a collaborative workspace for entrepreneurs and nonprofits; Rogue Aviation, a premier helicopter training and charter company; and Creating Good, a growing social impact movement and media platform. Through Rogue United’s ventures, Matt has not only built successful businesses but also created a platform where creativity meets purpose. His work has garnered support from sponsors and investors, further fueling the expansion of Creating Good and upcoming initiatives like Creating Good Kids—a movement to inspire the next generation of changemakers. In 2025, VitalLink named Matt as the Volunteer Changemaker of the year in recognition of his commitment to empowering youth through career exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning.

Whether he’s mentoring startups, advising nonprofits, piloting helicopters, or being a husband and father of five, Matt leads with vision, purpose, and a relentless drive to help others succeed.
