Dear fellow ITEP/EXP alums,
Thank you to our alums who attended and supported our programming for students and fellow alums this summer!
In August, EXP and student participants celebrated the culmination of the 2023 EXP Internship Program: Powered by Prologis. Some of our very own alums, such as Isael Torres, HR Manager at Franco Logistics, participated as internship host employers. Thanks to his support and 35 other host sites, 78 students received paid internships and invaluable work experience.
It was wonderful connecting with some of you at our recent LEVEL Up Summer Series multi-day event and at the Dodgers game! A shout out to Valeria Barrera, who recently chatted with me over coffee (pictured below). Valeria participated in our LEVEL UP Summer Series and just started her junior year at CSUDH.
If you missed any of our summer events, don't worry! From GPS Your Future® Career Discovery Day to LEVEL UP workshops, there are several upcoming opportunities to connect with fellow alumni and inspire current students this Fall.

LEVEL UP Workshop: College Admissions 101 – Wednesday, October 18,
5:30 – 6:30 PM via Zoom
Do you need help filling out college applications or applying for FAFSA? This one-hour workshop will go over applying for FAFSA as well as Cal State University and Community College applications.

GPS Your Future® Career Discovery Event – Thursday, October 12, at CSU Dominguez Hills
Some of you may remember GPS Your Future® Career Discovery Event from your high school days. Now, you're invited to attend for free or volunteer to help inspire current students!
Would you like to share your experience in a career breakout panel? We'd love to have our alums in the room!
Network with industry professionals in our expo hall or sit in on our breakout panels.
Volunteer to help us around the event and represent EXP at our booth in the expo hall.

(Re)Imagining Apprenticeships – Friday, November 17, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Lake Forest Community Center
In today's workplace, industries are looking to apprenticeship programs to develop new talent and address their changing needs. Young adults are also looking for ways to upskill but are unsure where to begin.
Join EXP and our partner Vital Link for a dynamic one-day conference to discover ways industry professionals, educators, and young adults can work together to develop tomorrow's workforce. Learn from current industry professionals who have apprenticeship programs and how their success stories can also be yours. EXP alumni and young adults attend for free!
