Scholarship Applications are Now Available for EXP Students and Alumni

Who can apply?

  • A graduating senior OR alum of one of EXP’s academies/pathways:

    • Barstow High School (MXP, STEAM)

    • Carson High School (ESET, GBLG, PAMA)

    • Gardena High School (GBM)

    • Narbonne High School (BETA)

    • Phineas Banning High School (GESA, GSS, ITA, MATCH, PATHS)

    • Rancho Dominguez Preparatory (STEAM)

    • San Pedro High School (Business, GEA)

  • Minimum GPA of 2.75

  • Students: Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college, university, community or junior college, or vocational/technical program in the Fall of 2020.

  • Alumni: Must be a current, full-time student of an accredited college, university, community or junior college, or vocational/technical program.

  2. Create an account.

  3. Complete the application and upload these supporting documents:

    1. A transcript

    2. A letter of recommendation

    3. Two essay responses 

The deadline to complete the application is January 29, 2020. 

The scholarship will be awarded at the 20th Annual Oceans of Opportunity™ Scholarship Celebration and Dinner on March 26, 2020, at the Carson Center.
