Our Internship Candidates are "Leveled Up" and Ready to Experience a Virtual Summer Internship

We could not be prouder of the 193 students who are preparing for their senior year of high school and have successfully completed the career-readiness portion of the EXP Internship Program: Powered by Prologis earlier this month! See for yourself and hear from a few of our students in the adjacent video.

Employers! Right now, several students are still seeking a remote-based "virtual" summer internship experience! Can you help? A virtual internship will provide them with real-world career exposure and in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy experience for both the students and their employer hosts. For employers, it is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the career aspirations of our students and allows them to apply the career-readiness soft skills they learned in the EXP Internship workshops.

“An internship is important for me because it unlocks new opportunities for me to further my education,” said Tiffany, a Phineas Banning High School student. “It also provides a once in a lifetime experience that I will not come across again in my high school career. An internship helps me stand out in my future job applications as well as my college applications!”

Our internship students are ready to gain experience and contribute to your organization this summer. Our program team is ready to help employers devise project lists and work schedules for these driven, tech-savvy young people!

"We are excited to have our partners continue to support our mission during this stressful and uncertain time," said Tracy Palacios, program manager, internship and outreach. "Their ability to quickly adapt to a virtual platform to offer our students meaningful work experience is priceless.”

If you are interested in hosting our students, please contact Dr. Dennis Johnson at dennis@expfuture.org.
